On October 1, 2001, the Global Business Unit HARTING Electric GmbH & Co. KG was spun off from HARTING KGaA and set up as an independent company. This move paved the way to greater flexibility and stronger customer focus.
HARTING Electric develops, manufactures and sells industrial connectors, connector technology and system components to clients active in the fields of mechanical engineering, automation technology, transportation and power engineering.
High manufacturing automation levels ensure outstanding product quality. At HARTING Electric, production operations are based on high precision injection molding equipment, fully automated high precision contact manufacturing, high precision die-casting, fully automated powder plating as well as state of the art cable production facilities in connection with advanced testing equipment.

Founded in 2001 as part of the decentralization of the HARTING Technology Group, HARTING Electronics GmbH & Co. KG unites the Group’s electronics connectors activities under one roof.
Decades of experience in the development and production of electronics connectors of superlative quality underpin the position HARTING holds in today’s world markets.
In the area of standardized PCB connectors and interface connectors, HARTING offers a broad range of products covering all aspects of industrial electronics.
Our field of endeavor extends from the development and comprehensive integration of components through to the optimization of entire processes on the customer’s behalf. HARTING Electronics regards itself as a provider of systems solutions.
As your competent partner in broad areas of industrial control and communications technology, we provide our customers with innovative solutions that also cover the field of mobile telecommunications.
Drawing on local development centers and modern production facilities in Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain and China, we are able to respond flexibly to our customers‘ needs.
Our engineers deploy the latest simulation techniques and development tools in order to provide our customers with the optimum product in the minimum of time.
These tools allow us to accurately predetermine virtually all of the characteristics of the product under development and optimize these jointly with the customer.
The results are tested under real-life conditions in the HARTING Group’s laboratory that is certified by the German Accreditation Council (DAR).
Our efficient production facilities are supported by leading edge tooling and assembly technology developed and deployed by HARTING Applied Technologies GmbH & Co. KG.
